In this episode we talk with Rushan Abbas, Founder and Executive Director of Campaign for Uyghurs, an organization focused on stopping the systematic human rights abuses against the people of Xinjiang, China (also called East Turkestan). Rushan is a Uyghur herself and shares with us her personal story, what is happening to Uyghurs and other Turkic peoples in China, and what we as individuals can do to stop what the US and the international community has designated a “genocide.”

Correction: A previous version of this episode mistakenly attributed the peacemaking quote to Martin Luther King Jr. We have edited the episode to rightly attribute it to Shane Claiborne.
